Chiropractic
The primary treatment at JayMac Chiropractic is the chiropractic manipulation or adjustment. The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) indicates that chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Doctors of Chiropractic, often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians, practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors are known for treating low back and neck pain but did you know that so many more conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and many more neuromusculoskeletal conditions can be treated by Dr Jason at JayMac Chiropractic. In fact, all joints in the body can be treated by a doctor of chiropractic trained to do so. A joint is designed to move and chiropractic care can help keep that joint moving painlessly and improve overall function. (adapted from ACA website 3/26/2019)
It has often been said that chiropractic is an art and science. The science is achieved in the rigorous chiropractic doctoral program. The art is somewhat variable and manifests itself differently among chiropractic providers.
Many chiropractors will obtain training for multiple chiropractic techniques to add to the repertoire of treatments available to help patients obtain relief and eventual health and wellness.
